MIRC's fun trials are fun events designed to engage both new and veteran handlers in training top quality retrievers. They provide seasoned members the venue to get their retrievers back into the training atmosphere following a successful hunting season. They also allow new members the opportunity to meet other club members and try their hand at hunt test or field trial stakes without the stress and financial commitment of a licensed event. So, bring your dog out and come have some fun!
Fun trials are held on the fourth Sunday of the month from January through April, weather permitting. Extreme snow, ice, cold, or wind can cause an even to be canceled for the safety of all involved. Cancellations will be communicated as soon as possible on this site and our Facebook page. So, be sure and "like" us on Facebook!
These events are put on by club members who will also be running their own dogs, judging, and gunning in the field. Due to this, registration will be open from 8:00-8:30am. No entries will be taken after 8:30am. Please be courteous to your other members and arrive in a timely manner. Please offer your help in gunning or judging when you are not running a dog.
Hosts will be responsible for lining up help for each of the stakes and providing lunch for participants. Without hosts, we will not have the event.
